Plastic Surgery Staff The Woodlands
Melissa Melonson, B.S. Practice Manager
Melissa oversees the daily operations of the practice, and continues to find ways to implement the most efficient and effective way to run the office so that every process, from scheduling a consultation, to surgery and recovery, goes smoothly. She began her medical career over 11 years ago working in the medical center at Baylor College of Medicine. Since then, she has worked in Labor & Delivery, Med/Surg and in the Emergency Room at two large hospitals in The Woodlands area. Having seen how a body can be damaged due to pregnancy, weight gain/loss, breast cancer, as well as other circumstances, she feels very passionate about Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition, Melissa brings an energetic, positive personality to Gill Plastic Surgery.
“Every day brings new experiences, from forming a special bond with a breast cancer patient, putting their concerns at ease, to watching the transformation of a cosmetic surgery patient. We have a great team environment here.”
“Dr. Gill is the most compassionate, dedicated, and hard-working physician that anyone could hope for. His time spent with patients explaining things to them in terms that they can understand, and his diligent and extraordinary care of his pre and post-op patients is exemplary.”
Melanie Jaquez, Front Office Coordinator
I am an Arizona native, I moved to the beautiful state of Texas going on three years. I am the friendly face you will see when you walk through the doors to start your experience here at Gill Plastic Surgery. I have background in dermatology and aesthetics. Dr. Gill and his staff are truly dedicated making each patients experience individualized and comfortable. I feel extremely fortunate to be part of this team and genuinely enjoy seeing each patients transformation from beginning to end!
Jeanne Andrews, RN CNOR, RNFA
Jeanne comes to us with extensive surgical and cosmetic nursing experience. She is a Registered Nurse, First Assistant who helps Dr. Gill in all of his surgical procedures and with patient care both pre, intra, and post operatively. She comes to us with over 35 years of surgical experience, and has been working alongside Dr. Gill for the past 3 years at Houston Northwest Medical Center, but wanted to be more involved in the patient care aside from the operating room. She is from Maine and has a background in Cardiac, General, and Plastic Surgery. “As a nurse, you know that every day you will touch a life or a life will touch yours. I have the best of both worlds because I get to now develop a relationship with our patients prior to their surgery, as well as being by their side the day of surgery and during their recovery process.
“I admire how Dr. Gill genuinely cares for his patients. He is always by their side from the time they enter the surgical suite, through the recovery phase. Dr. Gill’s attention to detail, and strict observance of patient safety and care are one of the many reasons he is highly recommended by patients and nurses alike.”
Jolyn Piatt, RN
A native of Louisiana, Jolyn and her Husband Lonnie moved to Conroe Texas in July 2017. She graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Columbus College in Georgia. Her previous experience spans across 24 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, in the ER, OR and ICU.
Jolyn enjoys forming individual and unique bonds with all patients, as all are uniquely different and require individualized care and needs. She loves being there for them every day to help address concerns and allay fears throughout the peri-operative process. “It is one of the greatest feelings in the world to be part of such a life altering, positive change in a client’s life. I truly cannot imagine a more gratifying job.”
When you wake up in the morning and you love going to your job, that is when you know you made the right decision. Not only is Dr. Paul Gill great to his patients, he is great to his staff. I have never known work family like the one I have now, and this warmth and compassion filters down to our patients. Dr. Gill genuinely cares for each of his patients and takes the time to give every patient that “one on one” care. It still astounds me that even with his hectic schedule, he manages to call all of his own post-operative patients at the end of the day. This is one of the many reasons that I will continue to call Gill Plastic Surgery my “forever home”.
