A brow lift in Houston can help you showcase one of your most notable facial features—your eyes. Performed by plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Gill in Houston, a brow lift can elevate your sagging brow and help people take note of your beautiful eyes.

During a brow lift, Dr. Gill performs incisions behind the hairline to lift and elevate the tissue.

After the brow lift, the eyes appear more open and the forehead exhibits fewer wrinkles.
The brow lift itself is a popular procedure for both men and women. Using either traditional or somewhat less invasive endoscopic techniques, Dr. Gill is able to lift a descending brow, helping you to appear as young and vibrant as you feel inside. Not only does this procedure lift your brow, but it can also address corresponding wrinkles and can be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures like a facelift, neck lift, or eyelid surgery.
The brow lift is designed to address cosmetic concerns such as:
If Dr. Gill performs a more traditional brow lift in Houston, you can expect to be under a local anesthetic with sedation for the one to two hour operation. After your face has been thoroughly cleansed, Dr. Gill will make an incision just behind your hairline on the top of your head. Through this incision, Dr. Gill will lift the skin to reshape and elevate the underlying tissues, giving you a smoother, younger-looking appearance. Your skin will then be secured with sutures and/or fixation devices behind the hairline.
If Dr. Gill recommends an endoscopic brow lift, the operation time and anesthetic will be the same. The endoscopic technique involves four or five small incisions just behind your hairline. Through these incisions, your plastic surgeon will use an endoscope to see the underlying tissue to perform the operation. Much like the traditional brow lift, Dr. Gill will gently elevate the brow tissues and secure your forehead and brow in a higher, more youthful position before closing the incisions with sutures and covering them with a dressing and surgical tape.
For either form of brow lift, you should expect about a week before you can return to your normal routine and up to three weeks before the signs of surgery are gone. You may experience swelling and discomfort and may be prescribed medication to manage pain.
As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle, the results of your surgery can last anywhere from five to ten years.
